Thank you so much for visiting ERA Calligraphy and Stationery Studio. I'm Ellie, a Fine Art graduate from the University of Oxford.

I began my career in auction houses, first in Oxford and then at Sotheby’s in London. I spent this time surrounded by incredible art and objects, visiting extraordinary collections. However in 2018, I began learning modern calligraphy and I fell in love with the process and the possibilities of stationery design.

When it came to launching my own business, I chose a name that not only incorporated my initials, but also referenced the exciting new era that was just beginning.

Working from my studio in South West London with clients across the country and around the world, I have worked on a number of exciting projects, from invitations and thank you notes to bespoke commissions. Get in touch with me to talk through any ideas that you have or projects that are in the pipeline, I’m looking forward to working with you!

I live in South West London and love to explore the city that I call home. Visiting London's galleries and museums as well as the many beautiful parks and gardens is a great way to see different parts of the city. Some of my favourites include the TATE Britain and the V&A, and Kew Gardens is a wonderful place to while away a few hours.

As well as creating stationery and calligraphy, I still find great joy spending time on my drawings.

I have been lucky to travel to some beautiful places. Recent favourites have included Puglia, Seville, Porto, Marrakech and New York. Next on my travel wish-list are Scandinavia and Iceland.

Although I love to travel abroad, there's no place like home. Exploring the English countryside with a long walk followed by lunch in a cosy pub is one of my favourite ways to spend my downtime.

Every day starts with coffee, and if it doesn't finish with red wine, it finishes with tea.
